Technical Communication has been brought to the forefront, since the boom in infotech industry and globalisation. Due to the insistence of the importance of communication skills, the need for improving English language has gained momentum in recent years. In this scenario, the contributions of the department of English in imparting communication skills and functional grammar in English are significant.
Mathematics Department has experienced faculty members expertise in various fields of mathematics like Topology, Generalized MATRIX Theory, Algebra, Graph Theory and Differential Equation. Our Faculty members have published many papers in peer reviewed journals. We initiate Maths Club in the name of TALC INITIA on 28/9/2002 and we conduct MAKS FETE ( Maths Competition) on every year through this club.
The Department of Physics came into existence along with the establishment of the institution in the year 1998. The basic aim of the department is in “the pursuit of academic excellence and better understanding of the concepts both in theory and practical of engineering physics from fundamental level to its applications”. The physics laboratory is in par with the requirements for technical excellence and it is furnished with the equipments of utmost quality with high accuracy, speaks zero compromise with quality education. The department has dedicated, experienced and well qualified faculty members who continually update their knowledge on global trends and breakthroughs by attending workshops/symposia and presenting papers in national and international conferences. Research papers have been published in reputed national and international referred journals.
The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1998. It serves to provide strong foundation in Applied Chemistry which in turn serves as a baseline for all Engineering streams. The department has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members. The faculty members of the department attend various National conferences, workshops and symposiums frequently to update and enhance their knowledge to serve the social and student community. The department has a well established laboratory to accommodate students for Engineering Chemistry Lab Class. The department has been recognized as Research Centre by Anna University of Technology, Tirunelveli for conducting Ph.D. Programme. An Institution driven by knowledge necessarily need to have strong research positioning in order to identify itself in national arena. In sight of above fact, the teaching staff members are engaged in various research fields viz., Polymer chemistry, nanocomposites, inorganic chemistry etc.
